About Dr. Asha Bhakta, Founder & President
Dr. Asha Bhakta is a renowned behavioral specialist in Southern California with over 20 years of experience dedicated to supporting families with children diagnosed with autism spectrum and other developmental disorders. As the Founder and President of Creative Solutions for Hope (CSH), Dr. Bhakta has built her career on compassion, innovation, and a commitment to helping children thrive.
Dr. Bhakta earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, and her Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada. She later received her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). In 2014, she earned her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Continuing her pursuit of excellence, she completed a second Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership in 2020, focusing her research on the factors influencing workplace decisions among BCBAs. In 2024, Dr. Bhakta also graduated with an additional Masters in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University.
With expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Dr. Bhakta specializes in designing and implementing individualized programs that promote meaningful, positive changes in behavior. Her work empowers individuals with autism and other developmental challenges to build essential life skills, from interpersonal communication to basic adaptive behaviors, enabling them to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
Since founding CSH in 2006, Dr. Bhakta has been steadfast in her mission to create tailored programs that meet each child’s unique needs. Her leadership emphasizes trust-building, self-esteem, and proactive learning strategies, ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
In addition to her work at CSH, Dr. Bhakta extended her impact by founding Opportunity Matters to Everyone (OME) in 2012. This nonprofit provides recreational activities for children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities.
